About Damon Buxton
Damon Buxton is a fingerstyle solo acoustic guitarist and composer working in the tradition of the Windham Hill artists. Picking up the guitar at age twenty-one, Buxton taught himself to play and, in the process, developed the soulful fingerpicking style that remains his trademark.
After initial success with a demo release, Buxton established a recording collaboration with Will Ackerman, Grammy award-winning founder of Windham Hill Records, who produced his 2007 release, “Forgiving Dreams.”
Damon's latest recording, "Rotation Of Earth," was released on Amadeo Records in April 2010.
Press Kit
Damon is an informed and engaging speaker and is available for interviews. Will Ackerman is, depending on scheduling, also available to interview with Damon.

GUITARIST RESONATES WITH “ROTATION OF EARTH”
(Seattle) Seattle-area guitarist Damon Buxton released his third instrumental guitar recording “Rotation Of Earth.” Featuring resonant, heartfelt explorations of open tunings, the fourteen-song effort builds on his 2007 “Forgiving Dreams” produced by Windham Hill Records founder Will Ackerman.
Applying what he learned from Ackerman, Buxton says “Will taught me to pay attention to the emotion in my music, to feel it, and make it present in the performance.”
Composed in the early hours throughout the four seasons of 2009, the pieces are recorded intimately to make the listener feel as though they’re sitting is in the room with the guitar.
Rotation Of Earth is available at DamonBuxton.com and in the iTunes, Amadeo Music, and Amazon Music stores.
